missing sedona/traveling in general.
ribeye of the sky
that’s the affectionate name given by hunters to the sandhill crane.
great blue heron
i’m no birder but it was cool to see this animal.
baby bison
baby bison from minneopa state park, according to the park’s AM radio station, these are 99% free of any cattle DNA, so these are the most “wild” bison in north america.
unlikely animal friends
this is one of the wild horses of the assateague island national seashore (in maryland). i didn’t know wild horses were actually a thing until last summer, but i ended up seeing them in north dakota too!
baby alpaca
baby alpacas in windham county, VT? it doesn’t get any better than this!
sunrise in sedona
the year started off so nice, i spent the very first few days of it in sedona.
la push
my favorite place ever!!!
pnw 2k19
what a place, mountains, trees, and water.
the roughrider state
this is probably the first pic i’ve ever posted from north dakota ever! though i’d hardly call this part of it “home”, i’ve only briefly been to the badlands twice in my life. still a cool place though!
gov't walks part 2
they call me the deer king.
deception pass
very fond memories of this place, it’s not exactly a secret that i love the washington coast!
devil's tower
it’s hard to convey the scale of this in a photo, but trust me, this is big.
summer is coming
from a nice summer last year. nights like these are right around the corner!
gov't walks
i got a new camera and took it on my government approved walk today. trying to make something outta nothing.
stehekin
i think this was the first time i traveled with my “real” camera! stehekin, WA, may 2018.
left coast
i’ve been sitting on this one for a while… but one positive of quarantine is that i’m spending time going through my archives. this is from san diego last year!
windham hill
most of my post titles are from windham hill songs. and this isn’t windham hill either, but i think it’s the closet i’ll get to an image in the windham hill cover photo style. this is near lake elsinore, CA, during 2k19’s super bloom.
oklahoma!
i savored my time in oklahoma, because while it’s not a horrible place, it’s somewhat unlikely that i’ll ever be back- the travel backlog is just too big.
everywhere but on
during the summer of 2019, i listened to the song “everywhere but on” by matt stell MANY times. maybe it was an accident, maybe i was brainwashed, but i ended up visting all of the places he mentioned in the song. this is from the “colorado skies” part of the song/tour
